At Blue Fern Homes, we’re dedicated to building high-quality townhomes and cultivating forward-thinking communities in the Seattle area. As a local builder, we place a high priority on developing homes and neighborhoods that complement the surrounding community. The Blue Fern team is made up of people who love the Seattle area and Pacific Northwest as a whole, so we make sure our work reflects that as well. We strive to champion the communities we build in—so in addition to safe and green building practices, our team members spend time volunteering at food banks, contributing to academic scholarship funds, donating toward medical research and advocating for land conservation to keep our state beautiful. 

Partnerships we’re proud of  

Food Lifeline provides food to more than 300 food banks, shelters and meal programs across western Washington—including rural, suburban and urban areas. 1 in 8 people struggle with hunger in the area, including a large number of children and seniors. By believing that hunger doesn’t have to happen, Food Lifeline helps feed hundreds of thousands of people each year through programs and agency partners like Blue Fern. 

Dedicated to land conservation, Forterra works to protect wildlands, urban spaces and everything in between. Since 1989, the group has helped conserve farmland, protect a broad range of ecosystems, cut greenhouse gas emissions, reduce wildfires, revitalize small towns, create jobs and develop sustainable urban areas. Forterra’s efforts have secured more than 275,000 acres in over 450 land transactions since its founding—including four pieces of land Blue Fern is working toward conserving. 

Rainier Scholars cultivates the academic potential and leadership skills of hardworking, underrepresented students of color in the region. The nonprofit provides access to educational and career opportunities that help change the lives and futures of students, support scholarships, increase graduation rates and empower new generations of leaders. 

Augies’s Quest to Cure ALS focuses on finding potential treatments through the Augies’s Quest Translational Research Center at the ALS Therapy Development Institute—the world’s only nonprofit biotech focused solely on ALS. Blue Fern is one of many companies across the country to help enroll participants in the research programs.
