Revamp your color palette

One of the best ways to kick the gloominess out the door is to bring warmth directly into your home using colors. Mustard yellow, burnt orange, rustic red and gold accents can immediately erase any melancholy vibes you may be facing. Whether it be a few throw pillows, wall decor, an area rug or a throw blanket—adding hues of warmth can make for a gorgeous addition to your home. Sun lamps are trending exponentially right now, and it’s no surprise—after all, everyone needs the serotonin that sunlight provides, authentically or artificially. Not only can sun lamps improve your mood, but they can also be a great addition to the interior of your home. Invest in a sun lamp to illuminate your home with maximum coziness and ensure you’ll always have some sunlight to rely on—even on the rainiest days.

Add a reading nook

The wet Seattle winter makes for a prime opportunity to pull out your favorite reads or to discover new ones.
