Getting Around

Lake City may be on the outskirts of Seattle proper, but the 552 bus offers just a 20-minute commute to downtown Seattle, running every 30 minutes. Traveling by car, downtown is just 15 minutes away via I-5. Kenwood Townhomes is a quick one-minute walk to the 552 bus line, making it a great option for commuters. 

Arts and Culture

The great outdoors are never far away. Lake City is home to a number of parks for people and pets (see Dogwood Play Park). Take a walk or bike down the 27-mile Burke-Gllman Trail that stretches from 11th Avenue NW in Ballard all the way to Blyth Park in Bothell where the trail becomes the Sammamish River Trail.

Lake City is home to a local seasonal farmer’s market, a library that traces its history back to the beginning of the town’s incorporation in 1935 and a community center that plays host to everyday activities like dance classes and senior meals. Residents and visitors alike also enjoy large, annual events like the Chinese New Year Celebration and Lion Dance.
